Valid confesion or not

So I go to confession, and the priest has this accent that gives me trouble. I ususally go like” oh no” went I see him at Mass, cause I literally hear nothing, but just sit there since they say presence also counts.
At the confession, he gave me my penance, he repeated it thrice, and asked me to repeat it to him. It was a Bible verse I was supposed to meditate on. When I got the Bible, I could not find the verse, then, I realized something had not been clear. What would you have done? I thought of going back to the priest, but could not.

Validity of absolution is not dependent on doing any penance. If you cannot ask him what the penance was, ask another priest for a penance.
