I was cruising around the forums and heard about something called the Pieta prayer book- I went to this site:

olrl.org/pray/pieta/

That seems to have the prayerbook online.

Has anyone ever seen it before? I was looking through some of the prayers and their power is just something I never imaged; there’s about a gazillion for example to save people from Hell. Most of the prayers come from divine revelations to saints. Has anyone ever heard of these and can confirm they aren’t just some weird out-there prayer book? I might have just underestimated it, but the supposed power of these prayers is just unbelievable!

I absolutely love htis prayer book. It has a wide ragne of devotions, but is pocket size. It was my granmother’s favorite book, and she went through many copies, wearing them down to shreds by use. The edition i have is the most recent copy she used.

Many palces sell it for under $2.00. It does not have the words to basic prayers, like the Our Father and Hail Mary, but is has all the essential devotions. THe greatest bang for you buck. And it is pepperd with inspiration quotes from the doctors of the church, and revleations accpeted by the Church.

Basic prayers it does have: the prayer to St. Michael, the Hail Holy Queen, the Come Holy Spirit prayer, the novena prayer to St. Joseph (used since the crusades), the Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart (which Padre Pio used to say daily for intentions offered up to him, and which I have seen publisehd in quite a few places); the five day prayer to St. Therese of Lisieux and a novena to her; and The fifteen prayers of St. Birgitta of Sweden that she received in a revelation, which mirror the stations of the cross.

It has explanations and guidelines for the rosary, the divine mercy chaplet, the Stations of the Cross, the chaplet to St. Michael and the archangels, the chaplet of the Infant of Prague, and a chaplet in honour of the Holy Wounds. It also has details about the devotion to the Sacred Heart and spiritual communion.

It has more too, but those are the highlights. I highly recommend it to every one.
