Vatican during WWII

I just finished an interesting book “The Berkut.” Good read except for the anti-Catholic content. The author writes that the Vatican established a pipeline for Nazis after WWII to escape from Germany to S. America.

I don’t believe the Vatican moved criminals away from the legal reach of the Allies. However, does anyone know of a website going into detail about the matter?

Specifically, an Austrian bishop, Monsignor Alois Hudal, was accused of helping Eichmann and others escape. The archives of the Teutonic College, of which Hudel was in charge during the post-war years, have just been opened. So we should be hearing more about this alleged pipeline as researchers dig through the records.
