Without having read all of the posts, I for one say, “Thank God for Vatican II”. I saw many people leave the Church they professed they loved, and go to other churches (small c) they did not, because of English, no altar rails, turned around altar. things that have nothing to do with true Catholicism. Did they really know their faith to start with? , I don’t think so. We always like to remember the old, as the good old days. I for one have seen great strides since Vatican II. As I said before in another post, I was blessed to speak to one of the council fathers and talk about the changes. He was very saddened with what he saw of people proclaiming the spirit of Vatican II, when in fact they did not know what they were talking about. Many abuses we saw, which are now being slowly (for us) corrected are going away. I still believe we will have a more vibrant and living Church as a result.
