So I drive a lot in my car…commuting, running to meetings, etc. I’m looking for an audio version of the major documents from Vatican II. Does anyone know of a CD, podcast or other audio version that I could play in my car? Thanks.

Can your computer read text with a digital voice? If so, you can get a program like Audio Hijack Pro, which is not too expensive, and hijack the application in which you have the computer read the text, and that saves the talk as MP3.

Well you could have a friend just read them aloud and record it.

I recommend getting a free text-to-speech synthesizer and using it on your mobile phone to read text versions of the Vatican II documents aloud. You could probably even jack your phone into a stereo port to make it come through your car’s speakers, if you have a new enough model. I’ve listened to dozens of books using the Amy voice for Ivona Speech Synthesis. (There’s a free app for Android if you want to try it.) You can listen to her here: youtube.com/watch?v=SEI3Fkgq3Ro
