Haha, as I said its hard to do it justice, I left so much unsaid. Its well worth a read about 650 pages and £20 or $30 ish dollars. But worth every bit of it

Yes Vatican II was a good thing. However, personally, I believe it may have gone too far. When I enter a Church I no longer feel that special “Sacred” feeling as in this place is Holy and for God. Since Vatican II this ‘special’ Church feeling is missing. Now it’s just an empty building with seats in it. While I do understand the reasoning, moving the Tabernacle to a back hidden corner is simply wrong. Maybe I’m just too old and like the older style of Mass as it was when the vernacular language was 1st used and the Altar was turned around to face the people.
I was a Server at that time and I remember being asked by the Parish Pastor how we should proceed. He was celebrating the 1st new Mass facing the people at a 6:30AM Sunday Mass. Told him it should be exactly the same but just facing the other direction, no big deal. He laughed and agreed.
Since then it has changed so much that I almost don’t recognize it anymore.
Again, Vatican II was a good thing, but it continued on too far.

Good points. I enjoyed your writing. I encourage all of you to attend the Tridentine Mass and then honestly post here that the Novus Ordo is the same.
