I stopped attending Holy Thursday because of all the giggling/drama from the women selected to be included in the ritual foot washing. How the selection process works is some parishes is a mystery as the same people seemed to be selected. At one time women “pastoral administrators” also washed parishoners’ feet. This may not be the current practice however.
