Venezuelan family members with CV19 symptoms

Prayers needed for my DIL’s sister and family who still live in VZ. They’ve been on US embassy list to come here for many years. Their parents were able to emigrate and now live near my son/DIL. COVID has complicated an already complex issue. But these past few days things have taken a turn for the worse. Both her sister and husband have developed COVID symptoms. My fear besides the disease is if they do test positive that they might be forcibly removed from their home into quarantine centers. VZ government has adopted the Chinese method of forced isolation. The quarantine centers are squalid at best. They have 2 sons at home who’d have no one to look out for them if their parents get detained. VZ doesn’t have the greatest medical resources for treatment so our worry is for their recovery as well. Please pray for a resolution to their problems. I am not sure if I will be able to give any frequent updates as it would depend on how often my DIL hears from her sister. Thank you in advance.

Update from my DIL about family in VZ. BIL took turn for worse. He started having a high fever and chest pain. Yesterday after a call to Dr. he was taken to hospital by his wife to get CT of chest. That Dr. had ordered it for him plus cortisone shot. DIL said that he was allowed to go home to await CT results. DIL sister told her that he was given “some other things” to take also. DIL sister’s symptoms so far have remained mild. Today BIL is feeling a little bit better. Thank you for prayers said already.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal ( RN69 SIL’s sister). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into RN69 SIL’s sisters body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

LORD Jesus please heal and protect your children. Also heal the minds of the Venuzela govt so that they properly take care of their citizens.
 
Amen!! My Lord and my God alleviate the suffering of your faithful people in Venezuela. Restore them and their country back to living in a country that respects the rights given by You to all humankind.
 
Father please bless this family in harsh conditions. May they wear the armor of God. May they be healed by your grace and touch of the Holy Spirit. May they find refuge and a good life strong on God. May they spread the good news of your word. In your name, Jesus amen!

Heavenly Father, Creator of the universe, and Author of it’s laws, You can bring the dead back to life, and you heal those who are sick. We pray for our sick brothers and sisters, that they may feel Your hand upon them, renewing their bodies and refreshing their souls. Show to them the affection in which You hold all Your creatures, and grant them an early recovery. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father of goodness and love,
hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need.

Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits.

May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts.

We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed.

I appreciate all of the prayers. It helps to ease the anxiety while waiting to get any information from VZ. @aroosi the Marian images that you post are beautiful. My DIL was consecrated to Mary in a ceremony at her local parish a few years ago and wears the brown scapular. Her women’s group are uplifting her in prayer concerning the health of family in VZ. I’m going to send these images of Mary to her and let her know that others are keeping those petitions heading to the heavens. Blessings on you all! +:- )

Update from my DIL: her sister notified family in U.S. that her husband seems to be through the worst of it. CT chest scan did not show COVID signs in his lungs. It did show pneumonia. Infectious disease Dr. prescribed antibiotics and said he must stay at home for 4 weeks. Dr. will be checking up on him routinely over the phone. Since he didn’t get a diagnosis of COVID, he can safely recover at home w/o fear of being detained. Praise be to God for prayers answered! His wife told my DIL to express her gratitude to all who have been praying for them. I can only humbly include my own thanks for everyone who prayed for this intention. If the thread is still open, I will post any updates from my DIL. So far the rest of her family in VZ have only developed minor symptoms such as alteration in taste/smell plus complaints of cold/flu like problems.
 
That’s great! Prayers continued for their recovery. So glad they are able to start at their home…

Lord Jesus, Who went about doing good and healing all, we ask You to bless Your friends who are sick. Give them the strength in body, courage in spirit, and patience in pain. Let them recover their health, so that, restored to the Christian community, they may joyfully praise Your Name, for You live and reign forever and ever.

O Holy Virgin, in the midst of all your glory, we ask you not to forget the sorrows of this world.

Cast a look of pity upon all who struggle against life’s difficulties, and who cease not to feel all its bitterness. Have pity on all who have been separated from those they love. Have pity on the lonely and friendless. Pardon the weakness of our faith. Have pity on those whom we love.

O Holy Mother, show a mother’s compassion toward the sorrowful and those who tremble under life’s afflictions. Give them hope and peace.

@Bixx So grateful for your continued prayers for my DIL’s family. She has felt so helpless when all she and her mother wanted was to be able to assist them. Venezuela and it’s people are in dire straits and need all of the prayers you are able to offer for them. Their situation is so very sad and was that way even before this pandemic. My DIL is so happy that her parents were able to emigrate. Mi consugritas (my daughter in law’s parents relationship to me) are understandably very worried for their other daughter and her family. Their faith sustains them.
