The Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music Free mp3 files! (warning: this is not for the “where-did-Jesus-say-to-have-an-institute-of-sacred-music-
and-where-did-he-say-anything-about-music-being-sacred-
anyway?” crowd…neither are the rest of these links for that matter)

The Vatican Museums …like being there without actually being there

The Sistine Chapel …the Java “magnifier” interface is pretty cool in itself.

The Vatican Library …some cool stuff to see in the “treasures” section but the interface is not as cool as the museum’s, IMHO

The Secret Archives …don’t look here or Scott La France will have to use the little “Men in Black” flashy thing on you…only if you can read Italian though.

The Vatican Observatory …not really part of the Vatican website since the observatory is in Arizona of all places, but still pretty cool.

Thanks to my friend Socrates, who posted all this over on “that other forum” .
You Rock Soc! 👍

Thanks for the fantastic links! I’m listening to some of the Sacred Music right now. It’s so beautiful!

Since I’m a big fan of illuminated manuscripts I glommed onto the Vatican Library site a long time ago. It’s really neat.

And the reason the Vatican Observatory is no in Arizona is because light pollution from Rome has made the old site at Castel Gandolfo essentially unusable for serious astronomy.

I always hear the sacred music when I am studying scripture or reading a Catholic Book. You should hear it when you go to sleep, it is very relaxing
