Very Lapsed Catholic... Can I Come Back? How?

So this all happened when you were fifteen. Notice how Satan loves to attack children? You were a kid when this happened. You were not even allowed to vote at that age. Trust the Authority of the Church and go to confession as others have suggested. Ask the preist if you are damned. If he bursts into flames and sticks you with a pitchfork, oh well, your a fuel pellet, but I find this unlikely. the Lord said suffer the little children to come unto me, OK so your not so little but the others are right about the Holy Spirit inviting you to come back, now just make sure you heed his call and pray incesently. Be watchful because Satan has it in for you now. He says I don’t want you going anywhere near that Catholic Church and will try to make you stumble. The Lord will sure you up, but the time will come when he will have to see if you can stand on your own. Be ready, be strong, be militant.

A book and a booklet, both published by Catholic Answers:

“What Catholics Believe” by Karl Keating. It discusses all the major issues and questions.

“Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth” discusses major issues in abbreviated format.

Both are excellent and are great places to start the search for answers.

Read in your Bible the story of the Prodigal Son, you are the Prodigal Son and like the father in the story Jesus will welcome you back with open arms…remember there is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents…the Holy Spirit is calling you back home, don’t let anyone hinder that journey. I would suggest going to Adoration, find a church if you can that has 24/7 Adoration and go and spend time with Jesus. Ask Him for the grace to believe. God Bless you.
