I really enjoy praying vespers. Unfortunately because of my busy schedule the earliest I can pray is 8:30pm. Would that be inappropriate/an issue?

That’s perfectly fine.

For private prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours, the times themselves are approximate.

Only if you were living in a monastery or other community would you have an obligation to pray at certain exact hours, but even there it would be a matter of keeping the discipline of community life, not an obligation to offer each office at the exact hour on the clock.

Thanks Father 👍

I take it you’re praying the Roman rite Liturgy of The Hours? Or are you praying the Maronite Prayer of The Faithful? Just curious.

For private recitation, my personal rule of thumb is anytime before 9 PM.
I go to bed late generally, so 8:30 PM feels pretty early for me still.

The Nazarene Basilica in Manila prays Vespers in front of the Blessed Sacrament every Sunday and First Friday following the last Mass. (around 8 to 9pm)

As for me, I normally pray Compline starting 8pm onwards if I am not busy
