Vespers for this evening

This evening I checked divineoffice.org to confirm the correct ribbon placements for Vespers (I usually use my four volume LOTH set but the site is a good reference point). Divineoffice.org had Evening Prayer II for the chair of St Peter tonight. Surely Evening Prayer I for Sunday takes precedence? Chair of St Peter is not a solemnity… am I missing something?

You are not. Sunday Evening Prayer I most certainly trumps CSP.

I only checked page #s for Christian Prayer, but they were correct for Evening Prayer I of Sunday on the site (not EP2 for CSP).

The should be a table towards the front of your breviary called (something like) Order of Precedence for Liturgical Days. This will tell you which celebration ranks higher and tus which office you should be praying. Since Sundays (even in OT) are solemnities they take precedence of feasts like that of the Chair of St Peter.

Incidentally, the chair of St Peter is an actual chair!

I don’t use divineoffice.org but just as a thought does it allow you to choose the Extraordinary Form of the Office. In the Extraordinary Form February 22 would have had Vespers (Evening Prayer) II of the Chair of St Peter.
