all i can remember from the debate was paul ryan at at least 8-15 occasions looked like he was crying from trying to stifle his laughter.

Shalom
God Bless

Talking about science and reason is exactly what I would have done were I in his shoes. Of course the Church doesn’t teach that some abortions are less morally corrupt than others – he’s lucky no one called him on that during the debate.

Criticizing the faith of others is not Christian or Catholic, or is it? Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t our Lord and Savior have something to say about this?

Matthew 7 King James Version
1Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
Ryan failed to articulate what the Catholic Church actually says, and in a political ploy for votes decided his stance wasn’t based off of his faith but instead is based off of science. He also said he doesn’t want to restrict abortion in cases of rape and incest, dissenting from the Catholic Church.

Biden told the most hilarious lie I’ve heard since Nancy Pelosi pretended to be a Catholic, and said that his Catholic faith is the most important thing about who he is. He decided that the Church’s teaching works for him but in no way shape or form should be applied to anyone else. Not only did he dissent but he practically committed heresy.

None of them are saviors.

Put no trust in princes,
in children of Adam powerless to save.
(Psalm 146)

Vote for whomever you think is best, but don’t expect the world to change drastically.

Better to take refuge in the LORD
than to put one’s trust in mortals.
Better to take refuge in the LORD
than to put one’s trust in princes.

(Psalm 118:9-10)

I don’t even trust myself.

If Romney gets in then the HHS debacle may end, but there will be something else next week. They will invent a way to breed children who are sterile from birth, or begin selling cloned human body parts out of vending machines at government clinics, or they will discover that some substance from aborted fetuses makes men get an erection and Walmart will sell it as a $4 generic. The only thing the government will do is try to figure out how to regulate it and tax it.

Nothing drastic will change. Dismembering and decapitating children with wires and shipping their body parts off in trucks to be burned will still be legal. The New York City school system will still give out condoms to 13 year old girls. Nothing drastic will change.

The only thing that might happen is that young men will see a successful guy with a beautiful wife who makes $40 million dollars each year and run off to join the mormon Church so that they can have a piece too.

It is going to take something radical to change us. The 2012 election isn’t it.
