I wish I had a link to a fantastic performance of O Filiae. I was really upset that we did not sing this at all for the Second Sunday of Easter. It is the Easter song for this particular Sunday. At least we are singing the Alleluia from this venerable hymn.
Incidentally, “Jesus Christ is Ris’n Today” is an English translation of a 14th century Latin hymn. It was sung as one of the Communion hymns during the Easter Sunday Papal Mass.
I nearly cried when the Cathedral organist/cantor had us singing Regina Caeli. He and I were the only ones who sang the Latin version.
