Johhny Cash was one of the best-selling singers of all time. With more than 90 million records sold, at one time his songs were constantly being played on the radio. He died in 2003; it has been said his health worsened before his death from a broken heart because of his wife’s death four months before.

My all-time favorite recording artist.

His San Quentin album which this was from (the CD version with added tracks) was one of the best live albums in country music history.

And the song was also the B-side of one of his hits, “Daddy Sang Bass.”
