Again, I’m looking for an argument that the search function isn’t helping me find.
A common objection to the Catholic interpretation of John 6 is that Christ also said “I am the door” and “I am the vine” but we don’t take him literally there.
Someone posted, at some point, an argument based on a systematic interpretation of those passages, each with three separate parts, showing that there is a pattern, and that John 6 fits that pattern, but the pattern indicates that John 6 is talking realistically, not figuratively.
Anyone have a reference to that thread or argument?
Thanks,
Jeremy
