My siblings are planning a virtual family reunion soon, and I will be speaking with brothers and sisters I haven’t seen for years. Among them is a sibling who is a Wiccan priestess; on the property they have a shrine to Hekate, among other things.
I’m not sure what to say to her. I’d like it to be a happy family get-together, but am very uncomfortable with witchcraft, though I’m sure they frame it as supporting the planet and the environment. I’m not sure how to be supportive of my sibling without supporting their activities.

There are unlimited number of things to discuss without talking religion. Talk about something you share, gardening, knitting, love of pets, books, water-skiing, NASCAR, reminisce about childhood and teenager escapades.

I agree. All of my family is Catholic, but we don’t all talk about it all the time with each other, there are lots of other things to talk about.

The trouble is, this is her life. she writes books about it, makes gardens around the shrines, teaches classes.
Will just have to do my best. Appreciate the replies.

Are you able to steer away from discussing religion?
And keep it to “How are you” and “it’s good to see you”.

“Look how big the grandkids have gotten!”

“Remember the year Mom and Dad took us to Xyz for vacation?”

“Hey sis, do you have the recipe for that cake that you made for dads birthday one year?”

Well, it went pretty well, and we discussed recent activities minus religious ones, We will be meeting again. prayers for my siblings appreciated.
