My husband’s Anglican church is quite charismatic in emphasis. Don’t have a particular problem with that, although it’s definitely not my cup of tea. The vicar has recently had a ‘vision’ which he believes is for the church, and has shared it in an hour long sermon. He has asked the home groups to discuss it, and my husband has asked me to go along with him. I’m really not sure what to make of it all. I don’t doubt that God can speak however He wants to, but I’m a bit 🤨 about this. I’m not even sure why I am going, apart from I have been asked.

Don’t know why I’m sharing this now, except to ask what others made of things like this. Oh, and could you pray for me as I go if you get the chance?

I am wary of anyone who believes they have been singled out to share a message granted only to them.
As we know, the Gospel is available to all mankind.
If this is a doom and gloom the sky is falling sort of thing, no one really needs to hear that.
We need to pray for each other and the world.
Having said that, I will pray for you dear one!
Love,
Clare

Thank you for your prayers. It was all about Satan shaking the community and so on and so forth. Quite outlandish in delivery (ie ‘a vision’) but nothing wrong with essentially restating that Satan prowls around like a lion seeking someone to devour.
I just wish they thought the answer was to actually teach and live the Christian faith rather than pour everything into helping the local council clean the local pond, laudable though that is. Ho hum. That is a different topic altogether 🙂

I applaud you for going with your husband to the home group discussion. It’s supportive to him and I will pray for the intentions in your heart.

God Bless.

I may be wrong but are you on your journey to become Catholic? Either way tread lightly…I do not know what the vicar’s full “vision” was about. You said you are not sure why you are going. I understand you were asked by your husband if that is the only reason you are going I would say. If you have some doubt, I suggest you do not go Look into your heart. You will make the right deciesion . You are in my prayers…GOD BLESS
