Hi!The Church guides us in the interpretation of Scripture. The Church has not interpreted that Scripture to mean that we should take every opportunity to alienate ourselves from family members who are making sinful decisions. Rather, the Church has said that we should not cooperate with evil or encourage sin. Staying with her son does neither of those things.
…let’s see if I can clarify this without having a detrimental imposition on your affinity to understand me… I did not create chaos, it was here before I was birthed; I did not create a division between Believers and non-Believers; that division was set by God.
Is the Church generous with her pronouncements? Yes. Sometimes even to a fault as we find “Catholics” practicing anything but the Word of God.
Is everyone here and elsewhere able to follow their own dictates? There are and they do.
Would I support/enable sin? No.
Must everyone hold the same understanding as I? No.
But to suggest that one could apply God’s Commands only when in the presence of Saints is both foolish and incorrect.
The Call is not to blend in; the Call is to Stand!:
(Apocalypse [Revelation] 3:15-16)15 I know all about you: how you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were one or the other, 16 but since you are neither, but only lukewarm, I will spit you out of my mouth.
Maran atha!
