I was reading so many non-Catholic articles about Obama’s trip to Notre Dame, and one thing that really struck me is there were large numbers of comments were along the lines of “if you’re so worried about the unborn babies why don’t you give mother’s support when they need it.”
Well, I thought we did. As far as I know we are the largest charitable organization in the world. I also believe (but I’m not sure if it is true) that Catholic Charities is the largest adoption agency in the world. I’m not sure what else we’re supposed do.
Does anyone out there have actual figures I can quote when someone brings up this canard?
