I am not a Catholic but Im a Christian;am looking into becoming aCatholic. would I be allowed to help the pilgrims at Lourdes; I really want to go and think volunteering would be a nice way to do it, as well as giving something back.
I really really like Mary; I don’t know if it’s love yet, but its fascination. Im drawn to her! Especially the idea of the visions. I would love to live near Lourdes actually!

Hi Steph, I have never been to Lourdes, but I am sure if someone here might get you information on how to be a volunteer there. I am sure they want your help.

In the mean time, you can also do the same sort of volunteering by contacting a Catholic parish where they have a Nursing Home ministry in which volunteer people visit the elderly, pray with them, and/or taking Communion to them. I am doing this volunteering work and it is the most wonderful ministry in our parish at Saint William’s Church of Round Rock, TX.

God bless you and I hope you can go to Lourdes soon!

If you are in the United States, you should contact a group called Our Lady of Lourdes North American Volunteers. They are the main channel for people in the U. S. who volunteer at Lourdes.

You’ll work very hard but nobody ever comes away unchanged by the experience.
