Voting in Uncontested Elections

If someone who you may have an ideological beef with is running uncontested and there is no write-in spot, are you more inclined to vote for them because they are the only option or just leave that section of the ballot blank? I’m thinking more in the context of local elected offices (sheriff, coroner, county recorder, prosecuting attorney, county commissioner, county engineer, etc.), some of which may have minimal political influence.
 
I leave it blank.

It’s my wee little form of protest 🙂
 
I leave it blank. I believe blanks are counted, so it is of some value as a protest vote.
