Hello,
Does anyone have a list saints and the correct colors for candles in a votive candle stand? I have found the obvious ones, (Blessed Mother, Blue, St. Joseph White), and also know St. Anthony is green; what would one use for St. Jude and St Catherine of Sienna? Thank You.

All our votive candles are white, no matter what saint they are in front of. I didn’t know different saints have different color candles.

I don’t think it really makes any difference. In pre-historic (meaning pre-conciliar) days, votive lights were usually of one color in a particular church. Some churches (usually those dedicated to the BVM) were always blue. Others were always red. Still others were always white (or clear). I don’t recall ever seeing “color coordinated” votive lights.

Thanks for your reply; I will go to the Chapel tonight and make a copy of the poster the La Salette priests put up; it has some of the Saints and what colors pertain to them. Maybe this was from their own religous order. I do appreciate the responses though. Rick.
