Waiting for Jesus
Jesus, Jesus, I wait for Your coming,
A vast deep and endless longing.
Jesus, Jesus, I totally adore Thee,
Great Master of All that I see and will ever be.
In Advent, Jesus, we remember Your coming,
Preparing our hearts with ever deep longing.
Jesus, Jesus, I truly adore Thee,
Becoming man to redeem me.
At Christmas, Jesus, we celebrate Your birth,
Your coming to save all of us on Earth.
Jesus, Jesus, I joyfully adore Thee,
Fully human for all eternity.
In Lent, Jesus, we dearly remember Your passion,
Cleansing ourselves with prayer, fasting, avoiding sin.
Jesus, Jesus, I humbly adore Thee,
Suffering immensely just to redeem me.
On Good Friday, Jesus, we remember Your death,
When You suffered for us til Your last breath.
Jesus, Jesus, I solemnly adore Thee,
For You are my Savior everlastingly.
At Easter, Jesus, we celebrate Your victory over sin,
To redeem us once and for all and lead us to Heaven.
Jesus, Jesus, I resoundingly adore Thee,
O Master and King, I greatly rejoice in Thee.
Jesus, Jesus, I love You so greatly,
from Your humbleness to Your majesty.
Jesus, Jesus, please come to me,
Fill my soul with all of Thee.
Jesus, please dwell deep in my heart,
Becoming one with me never to part.
Jesus, Jesus, I give you all of me,
Mind, body, soul for all eternity.
