I am a 17 year old convert to Catholicism. I have been praying, researching, and growing in the Catholic faith for 4 years. I officially started RCIA last sunday. Because of complications i could not start earlier. I went to Mass for four sundays before I actually recieved the Rite of Welcome last sunday. I have gone to Mass every Sunday this year and have begun leading the rosary at my parish on sundays. The three RCIA instructors and sponsors agree that I am ready to make my first Confession soon (Good Friday at the latest). The priest, who has not really set down to talk with me, is the only one who is hesitant of me making my first confession. I know that this is soon, but I have already learned and practiced the faith to enter full communion with the Church, and my sponsor agrees. What can I do to make my parish priest understand? I know this will take prayer, please pray for me.
BTW for our diocese first reconciliations are scheduled for this coming week.
