Please join the people pledging not to shop at Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club on the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving. I know it would be hard for me to boycott Wal-Mart completely, but I can stay away on those two key shopping days, and you can too! This is a most disheartening move by Wal-Mart to put their full support behind same-sex marriage.

I signed the petition, and am so disappointed. We, actually, don’t have a Wal-Mart near us, and I don’t belong to Sam’s Club, however, we did make quite a few online purchases last Christmas, so we won’t be doing that this year.

It’s getting harder and harder to know where to shop with so many companies choosing to support anti-family agendas.

I don’t know if I’ve ever been in a Wall Mart (Costco is the thing our here) but I have to say I’m a little surprised–they seem so eager to groom their family-friendly image. Maybe the democrats aren’t the only ones moving towards the middle of the politcal spectrum (when it serves their purposes–political and commercial).

I appreciate you passing this along. I just signed the petition and am emailing many others.

Unfortunately, this does not surprise me for it was Wal-Mart that started taking Christ out of Christmas last year.

In my opinion, Wal-Mart doesn’t have much going for them. Yes, cheaper prices, but as Catholics, shopping there would be similar to selling our souls, wouldn’t it?

I am truly saddened. Having a big family, deals at Walmart help. I h ave signed the petition and forwarded the website to my friends and family.

May God have mercy on our nation!!

Thank you for the new info. I try to stay away from them as much as possible as they are also on the list of S.T.O.P.P. 's list of Planned Parenthood donors.

If I read the article correctly, the 5% donation is only for sales made through the gay web site, not all online sales.

Also, Christmas is returning to Wal-Mart.

And it looks like a very gay Christmas, whoops, I mean merry.

Thank you for pointing that out, G-Bob. It is fortunate that only those sales through the website are donated, but it’s still a very sad move on Wal-Mart’s part. They’re giving into pressure. So we Christians need to pressure them back, even stronger than the pro-gay movement 👍

Write to Wal-Mart and tell them how much you enjoy shopping there and how sad you are to have to look for alternate shopping outlets because of their immoral support of homosexual activism. I’m sure if enough people respond and put the pressure on, Wal-Mart will return to the family-friendly, anti-abortificient contraceptive company it was not too long ago. As G-Bob pointed out, Wal-Mart seems to be pro-Christmas, so that at least is an encouraging sign 🙂

Here’s an idea. Link to Wal-Mart from here and let them donate 5% to Catholic Answers to help operate this web site. Do you think they would do it?

i am wondering if anyone researched this before signing the petition? I looked up on both websites and could find NO news of this. Even the homosexual group in DC doesn’t list them as a supporter. If someone could provide a news release link from walmart or the nonprofit group, i would appreciate it.

I could only find walmarts charitable donations for 2005 which includes Boy Scouts, United States CATHOLIC conference, Boys and girls Club, Young Women’s Christian Associations, VFW,and various others.

“If I read the article correctly, the 5% donation is only for sales made through the gay web site, not all online sales.”

Good point and i hope more people see this too, the news release is a little misleading as it says ALL online sales go this nonprofit company.

Perhaps someone should tell Wal-Mart that 7 out of 8 states voted for the Gay Marriage Ban. Seems the majority of Americans are not in favor of this issue.

I understand what the deal is but I still won’t shop there.

Here’s the thing…we hear all the time Separation of Church and State. Why not separation of retail and politics. I just don’t think it is right for any retail group to make contributions to one organization when there is no affiliation to the group.

I know I said I would shop there BUT what disgusting thing I saw last week at a Walmart made me SICK…
an older woman and her husband had a handicap son about from 15-20 (he was big kid)
They bought two large rakes and many groceries. At the self-checkout the mother was checking out and dad with kid who was eating some candy he bought & paid for first. Then as they left, the boy took off for more candy dad got him holding the rakes and mom had cart…
then the woman (the friendly greeter:rolleyes: ) stop them and accused the husband of shoplifting, mom looked for reciet and could not find it, she pleaded with the cashier (who checked out the husband) to help her and she ignored her as she had to empty her bags and pocket book (while her son is hitting himself,) on the ground till some kind Soul picked up the reciect he must have dropped, the poor thing left there in tears, I tried to find her but she was gone.

Meanwhile while this was going on it would have been a great opportunity for a real thief:rolleyes:
I don’t care it those “people” are giving things away I saw first hand their repect of the public.

I hardly ever shop at Wal_Mart anymore anyway. I was hooked for some time. I don’t know where you may live but If you really compare prices, I don’t think you save as much money there as you think.

According to Fox news, WalMart is showing a huge decrease in profits in the last 2 months. HMMM, makes one think doesn’t it??? The power of prayer.

I was listening to Neil Boortz (Atlanta AM radio talk show). You have to go thru this organized gay website that is linked with Wal-Mart and then Wal-Mart will give them 5% of the sales. But you can’t go to Wal-Mart and link to the other website. He said the total amount that Wal-Mart has given was $4 and some change over 4 years. Wal-Mart does this with some 43,000 other websites too.

Lack of training or managerial support by one employee does not make the corporation disrespectul of the public. Perhaps a letter to the manager would be in line?
