It sure looks interesting. I was never a devotee of Johnny’s or June’s but a movie about how she helped save him from himself would be good if it tells the real story of his redemption instead of just being another excuse for seeing two beautiful young people in bed.

I am a big fan of Johnny Cash, but am a bit reluctant to see the movie. I am really hoping that they stick close to what actually happened in his life, and not, as was already mentioned, make it an opportunity to show two people in bed. All of the early reviews of it that I have seen so far, though, seem positive and compliment the movie’s accuracy. I may have to break down and go see it just to find out. 🙂

I saw it on Friday. I’m not a big Johnny Cash fan, but the movie was good. I heard Michael Medved review it and he thinks that it will be taking home some academy awards.

As far as bedroom scenes go, there are none. Well, there is one where you know something happened, but there is no nudity or simulated sex or anything like that.

Peace

Tim

i’ll walk the line midi

I do love that song!

lyrics to I walk the Line
I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

I find it very, very easy to be true
I find myself alone when each day is through
Yes, I’ll admit that I’m a fool for you
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

As sure as night is dark and day is light
I keep you on my mind both day and night
And happiness I’ve known proves that it’s right
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

You’ve got a way to keep me on your side
You give me cause for love that I can’t hide
For you I know I’d even try to turn the tide
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

I saw it Saturday night and thought it was great. Johnny Cash was my first love. My mom and dad took me to the Iowa State Fair when I was 3 to see him. I still have the 45 of “A Boy Named Sue” 😃

One of my favorite parts of the movie is when his recording label told him he couldn’t do an album at Folsom Prison because his core audience were “Christians and Christians don’t want to hear him singing to a bunch of murderers and rapists” and he said, “then they ain’t good Christians now are they?”

We saw it yesterday and both thought it was great. The acting and singing were both terrific. I don’t know much about Johnny Cash’s life so I can’t say how realistic it was, but I’ve heard it was pretty true to life. Excellent movie.
