This is my first post & I honestly don’t know where to place this. However, I recently found a discussion about another person having a statue move & I can’t seem to find it again. So here goes.

A few yrs back, a friend gave me a beautiful smoked glass statue of the Blessed Mother. I immediately put it on top of my desk right above where I sit to work on my computer. It’s about 8" & fairly heavy.

Shortly after this, my closest friend went into the hospital for open-heart surgery. Needless to say, I went to church to pray for a good outcome (she felt like she wasn’t coming out of this so I was afraid of losing her). She wound up in intensive care because she could not breathe on her own so she was on a breathing machine. After going to the hospital a few times, I sat down at my computer & when I looked up, the statue was gone. I looked everywhere on the floor around the desk & it wasn’t there.

The desk is tall & I’m short so I stood on tip toe to try to see behind all the pics & knick knacks on that shelf & there was the statue almost to the very edge of the shelf. Ok, everyone said vibrations. However, nothing has ever moved on that shelf & to this day, nothing has moved even a tiny bit.

The shelf is about 10" wide & from where the statue is supposed to be, it’s 18" to the very end of the shelf. This statue would back up beyond all the pics & knick knacks, turn & head for the edge of the shelf (only once making it to the edge & thankfully stopped & didn’t go over the edge). Every few days I would check & have to put the statue back where it belongs.

My friend was in the hospital for over three weeks until she was finally taken off life support & allowed to go peacefully w/family & friends by her side. A very dark day for me because she was like a sister to me.

For maybe another two weeks or so the statue continued to “walk” until one day it stopped & has never moved again.

I have no clue what this means, I only know it happened. Because I had seen another post about something similar, I thought I’d post this.

Pretty bizarre, huh?

I can immediately this of some natural explanations:
  1. you move the statue while asleep (sleepwalkers do a range of things and are unaware of them).
  2. someone else moved the statue.
  3. under the stress of your friend’s illness (I am sorry to hear that you lost her) you dreamed the events and imported your dream memory into your consciousness.
I am not ruling out supernatural causes, but pointing out that possible natural explanations should be considered first.

Rule out all natural causes, then assume the supernatural!

Only other one here is my dog & it’s way too high for her to touch. There is no way, asleep or not, that I can reach anything but the very front of that shelf.
I had to get a stepstool to retrieve that statue whenever it was on the move.
Trust me, I have thought of everything natural & I still have no clue how or why this happened. A lot of my friends said it was vibrations but the fact that nothing else has ever moved (before or since) & it stopped shortly after my friend died, I can’t believe the vibrations just happened to coincide w/my friend’s surgery & her death.
