To day I walked to Mass as I always do it is about a mile give or take. Well on my way home I realized I went one street too far and that I was in front of the church building that I grew up in Well It is no longer a church of god it is a pentecostal church that baptises in Jesus Name I talked to the pastor for about ten minutes and told him that I grown up there when it was the pentecostal church of god well I told him about my deceased relatives and other people that were now deceased. He invited me to come and tell about those people wno were no longer with us but when I told him that I was now Catholic he said that if I came to visit to tell about my time there to not lable myself as any denomination because they focused on a relationship with Jesus Christ. The sad thing is that he grew up Catholic and his mothers belongs to my parish. Lets pray that he will come back to the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church founded by Christ and that the rest of his congregation will follow there are only about 20 in the congregation
Thank you I even got invited to sing as I do fill in as a cantor at my new parishthat I joined after I moved back to my hometown but after I got told not to lable myself I know I will not be going back there. I used to sing solos in the church of god but now I am using my voice for the one true Church that was founded by Christ.
A suggestion; label yourself. Say to any who ask, I am Catholic and proud of it. And I invite you to learn about what the Roman Catholic Church really teaches. Not what you hear in the media.
You didn’t walk one street too far. There are no coincidences in life. Sometimes things take years until we see a result, but your “wrong” way today was certainly not in vain.
Well I went by the church to tell the pastor that I woiuld not be coming because I will continue to label myself as Catholic as someone here advised but when I went up to the front of the door to knock it was locked and no one was there. However an off dutyduty police officer stopped me as I was walking away and asked me why I was in the area and I told him what I was going to tell the pastor and that I was now Catholic and that I was maybe going to visit this coming sunday after I went to Mass he said that it didnt make any sense and that someone was stealing mail in that area and then proceeded to make me show all the mail in my purse that was in there and then told me not to come in the area again because I was obviously was there to do some wrong doing why else wuld I be upset when I was questioned about mail that I was accused of stealing He asked me how come That I was Catholic now if I grew up in that church building in other words he totally accused me of being a liar and told me that if I was seen in the area again that I would be going to jail for trespassing so I guess that is a sign that I do not belong in that church and that my Home is in the Catholic Church.
