Want to buy a Missal, which one should I get?

There is no mention of the Novus Ordo mass in the Angelus 1962 Missal. The section marked “Examination of Conscience” is relatively short and based mostly on the ten commandments. I’m sure this is one reason why Monsignor Schmitz said there was nothing wrong with the Missal, and it would be fine for me to use it.

Yes, I brought a copy of Angelus’ Christian Warfare at the same time I bought their Missal. What “a mess” is right! I was very disappointed with the text. I thought of returning it, but decided to keep it as a personal reference for ‘how not to write a prayerbook.’ It is by far the most sectarian piece of literature I’ve run across in a long time.

The Missal is great though. Like I said, there is neither mention of the Novus Ordo, nor the SSPX, throughout the whole thing. I think it was designed to reach a broader audience than just SSPX readers. (A smart marketing move on their part.)

What I like about the Angelus '62 Missal is the rounded page edges. And now they even have the genuine leather edition. Yet to me the updates in the Baronius one are even better.
