Also I regret getting married in the church when I was young since I only did it to please our parents. You are better off not doing it because if you ever were faced with divorce then if you want to go through all the annulment process etc its expensive and not guaranteed to be approved.

Wow, super bad advice! Counseling your brother to sin, how bold you are. As a Catholic, you should have some respect for the Sacrament of Matrimony and not badmouth it like that.

Is it not enough that modern society undermines marriage at every turn, and attempts to destroy it, to redefine it, to minimize it, to relegate it to a bygone age? Perhaps if more Catholics like you respected marriage for what it is and what it does, we would have stronger families.

There is no sin involved in not disclosing your marriage status and most holier than thou Catholics stop judging others most Catholics I know love judging others when they are the most sinful people I know and from what my priest and kofc council told me I made the right decisions based on conscience. Remember god is not in a church he is inside every living person.

It matters not anymore. I no longer attend the Catholic Church, nor do I consider myself Catholic. I cannot be part of a church that considers my wife and I fornicating because we did not get married under its roof or by one of its priests.

Please do not bother telling me that my soul is at risk as I do not believe that it is just because I am not going to a Catholic church or no longer consider myself Catholic.

Dear lonelygreywolf.
I do not know if you are still reading this.
All I wanted to say is, I am shocked and apalled by how people spoke to you on this thread. I found that it dishonoured you and your wife in a way which was completely uncalled for. No matter how right people think they are, I can not understand how they could speak like that to a fellow brother in Jesus.

I am not around as much as I was when I first joined simply because I no longer consider myself Catholic. However, I have read what you wrote and I want to thank you for your kind words.
