I want to learn more about angels. I have taken up new interest in angels and the hierarchy system that God created. I want to learn the traditions of angels from Judaism to Catholism. If you can suggest any works I can read about angels and tradition about them, please do. Thank you.

Great journey to want to pursue. St. Thomas Aquinas has things written about angels. You might want to put this question in a different category… You might get more responses.

St. Raphael is known as the Healing Angel because of the story in the book of Tobit of curing blindness.

St. Gabriel is known as the Messenger Angel.

St. Michael is known as the Angel of Protection.

Do you have a local Catholic bookstore to browse or your local library?

You can use the internet and search under angels.

Search for Christian angelology or the 7 Archangels.

Also search a Hierarchy of angels.

Those are just some suggestions to start.
 
I have learned some interesting things about angels (both good and bad angels!) from listening to Fr. Ripperger. I’m not sure where he gets his info, but since he’s an exorcist I figure he must know! Maybe search out one of his talks on angels on YouTube.
 
How does the Church define spirit?
God is spirit and Angels are spirit.
The definition or definitions please.

Modern Catholic Dictionary:

SPIRIT. That which is positively immaterial. It is pure spirit if it has no dependence on matter either for its existence or for any of its activities. God is uncreated pure Spirit; the angels are created pure spirits. The human soul is more properly called spiritual. Although it can exist independent of the body, it nevertheless in this life depends extrinsically on the body for its operations, and in the life to come retains a natural affinity for the body, with which after the resurrection it will be reunited for all eternity. (Etym. Latin spiritus , breath, life, soul, mind, spirit, power.)
 
Yes, By spending time with the angels in prayer especially your guardian angel.

Isn’t the soul immaterial as well?
I am aware that soul and spirit is not the same but both are immaterial, right?
I have this understanding: the soul can exist ouside of the body in purgatory. Thus soul reuquiers no body. Is this correct?
