Wanting to receive the Body of Christ kneeling

Neither need we automatically suspect the worst in the case of CITH.

Unfortunatly it is not an asuumption. It is a fact that the teaching and the discipline of the Church with regards to the conditions accompanying CITH are not followed anywhere.

Any parish that practices CITH does not follow the conditions set out for this practice. Fragments of the Blessed Sacrament are lost so regularly by the Peoples ignorance of the practice of purification of anything touching the Sacrament.

This leads to a lamentable set of abuses, where parishes get rid of their sacrarium, do not purify their altar linen to the destruction of faith of the Priest when he stops purifying his fingers as mandated by the rubrics. Other abuses include not cleaning carefully surfaces where the Host is dropped, no communion paten and NO CATECHISM of the faithful with regard to the fragments.

By the way there is no legitimate defence to the above statements. All those things are required by the Church in the documents that are produced.

This leads to people actually thinking that kneeling and receiving in the tongue is not the immensely superior method for the Faithful to show their Love and Reverence for the Lord. Its actually some kind of blindness on the part of anybody Hierarchy or no to actually request the change. One should not be surprised at all that such a thing was requested by the american hierarchy which proved itself incapable of cleaning out the paedo priests, when they are so blind as to request a change in the method of reception.

Perhaps the Bishops had the right to request a concession, but perhaps it would have been better for them to clean out the homosexuals and heretical teachers out of the seminarys instead.

one of the parishes near me is traditional. There is no communion rail, but communion is distributed with the congregetation stading in a line outside the sanctuary as if there was a rail. I have seen people kneeling as if there were a rail. No altar girls, only boys. Patens are used for holy communion and the sanctus bells are rung three times during the consecration – when the priest extends his hands over the bread and wine (ex. “bless and approve our offering”) and at the elevation of the host and chalice.

The tile pretty much explains it, I wish to receive the Eucharist kneeling and on the tongue. The deal is that I attend the ordinary mass. All of us receive it standing up on the hand or tongue. I wish to do this because I want to give more reverence and worship to the Lord. I don’t want to this withoug asking my priest if this is OK with him.

The only problem I have with this is that I feel people will look at me hence taking glory and attention away from the Lord. This is the last thing I want, I want to do this because I feel I give more glory to Him by doing this. I just wanted to know your opinions on this. Thanks

I do it all the time, once I even got yelled at by the preist.
I think that if they see you kneeling down, it will encourage then to show more respect.

I have been profoundly embarrassed about what I posted earlier about waiting a few months until college to do so (it was an excuse straight from hell). I did it for the first time on morning mass this Thursday, and will do so again tomorrow.
