Is it morally right for a corporation or other business to benefit from a war, as long as they did not intend the war as a means of gaining profits?

I don’t see why not, but it does pose a moral danger too. In such a situation people could start hoping a war will continue, so that their income will not drop. But if they avoid this danger and aren’t supporting the wrong side of the conflict, businesses can have a legitimate role to play in the war effort or reconstruction.

If it can be moral to participate in fighting a just war, and the Church says it can be, why would it be wrong to make money from it?

Is there a catechism by the church about fighting in a Just war?
