It may seem like a stupid question, and I know we’re not allowed to swarm other forums… but how can we put out a warning to fellow Catholics of an anti-Catholic forum site?
I helped to start a Christian based forum for mothers a few months ago. Within a week, I noticed the admin and a mod was ganging up on me and started to really get nasty with me about my responses to some VERY anti-Catholic comments being posted on the forum. I was a mod and I felt the threads were going in a fairly decent direction when Catholicity was explained but this mod got really rude. So I deleted the thread and asked her “You happy? We just won’t talk about Catholicism seeing how you don’t see it as a Christian religion.” And after 24 hours, I told her to take me off the mod forum, and take me off the forum all together. I can’t be on a forum that is derogatory and defames Catholicism and it’s a Christian forum.
Other Catholic mama’s have come to me to let me know that there has basically been a Catholic smear campaign and now they have it in their TOS that you have to be born again in order to join.
I know the mods and admin come across as not being anti-Catholic, but they really are. They’re also known to tell mama’s that there are Catholics on the board that aren’t offended by the anti-Catholic remarks. (These same mama’s post on another forum and I’ve read their remarks… they’re as luke warm as you can get besides being downright cold)
So would mentioning this forum by name be the wrong thing to do here? I’m not looking to swarm this forum… but to post a warning to others to avoid this forum if they’re looking.
