I have been carrying on a discussion with an athiest regarding the religious beliefs of Adolf Hitler. I have been maintaining that Hitler was not Christian and that he rejected Catholicism. However, I feel that I have placed myself in a bit of a pickle, because I’m having trouble finding resources to substantiate this.

Hitler was baptized a Catholic, and, during his childhood, is believed to have been religiously-inclined. As a young man, however, he rejected his Catholicism and lived as an unbeliever. Because he was baptized, and because baptism confers a permanent supernatural character upon the soul, Hitler was an ontological Christian (i.e., metaphysically speaking, Christian was something he was in his being); but, because of his rejection of Christianity, he was not a theological Christian and his anti-Christian views have been well-documented.
