I was baptized at age 8 in a first Baptist Church,
And 3 years ago joined the Catholic faith. According to my new priest. Because I didn’t fully understand what it meant to be catholic. Don’t believe or follow most of the stuff. That I didn’t actually become catholic.

I believe that there needs to be justice for all the child sex trafficking the pope said has happened at the Vatican, sex abuse all over ect… I was sexual abused as a child (no church related issue) I would be hypocritical if I stained in a faith that hides and denies the horrible truth… I also don’t believe in talking to saints. I believe in devorce, birth control, sex outsode.of marriage, and abortion up to end of 1st trimester… I enjoy porn and do not see it as a sin, unless like gambling and drinking is not seen as a sin until it becomes an adiction… and I believe in “poly” marriage. Alot of bible people had multiple wives, Alot more woman then men too so makes logical sense. And I don’t believe in 1 faith being correct other than Christianity itself. I will not give up eating meat and will not fast, I don’t pray to Mary, or at all right now. So I don’t think I ever truly was catholic because my beliefs are so different

Ignoring the rest of your post and personal beliefs at the moment, how did you join the Catholic Church? Did you attend RCIA? Where you confirmed? Also, is it important to you to be identified as Catholic?

How old are you?
What caused you to join RCC, and precisely “how” did you join.

Also, why are you here, in other words, what can we help you with?
Are you looking for generalized discussion, for us to pray for a particular intention, or do you have a particular question you want answered.

You’ve probably noticed by now, that the major flaw of religion is that God allowed humans to participate in it. We tend to muck things up.
Which is why we need to rely on the strength of Him and trust in His word.
