It is never a good thing to have sinned, no matter who is/was involved, nor the end result of that sin. That is an absolute, and an end of any argument to your premise.

The sin of Adam & Eve is known to God in Eternity. The same moment in which He knows the death of Adam is the moment in which He knows the Resurrection of His Son, our Lord.
God creates all things - and knowing the frailty of Free Will, He did it anyway. Which fruits did this produce? See for yourselves! Incarnation! The Kingdom! The Passion! The Glorification of God in human flesh! A Mediator and Advocate and Intercessor and Righteous King before our Father for all time!
It was a good thing indeed, for all that God ordains is good. All is done out of love.

Sin against God is not good. Sin originated because Satan was dissatisfied with his spiritual position. This is the same lure he used when tempting Eve (this was part of conversation, anyway).In Jewish mysticism it’s considered a good thing because it will eventually elevate our spirits to a much higher level had they not sinned…Note that in all things, God works for the good.
We need not be concerned with our spiritual positions, for the last shall be first and the least the greatest.
