Was Jesus always full of love and compassion?

To all Christians:

Was he (Jesus Christ) also **full of love and compassionate ** with money changers and those high ranking law doctors–Scribes and the Pharisees, when he used these classic unforgettable words which eventually caused his enemies to convict him on a crime that he did not commit:

**- hypocrites
  • blind guides
  • Blind fools
  • You blind ones
  • full of plunder
  • self-indulged
  • full of dead men’s bones
  • every kind of filth
  • evildoers.
  • the children of those who murdered the prophets
  • serpents
  • brood of vipers!**
?

I wonder if Jesus Christ was always full of love and compassionate then why people were against him?

Had he sat in a synagogue and mind his own business only by doing HALLALU-YAAS and from time to time express his LOVE and COMPASSION only like an IDEAL CHRISTIAN MONK, then do you REALLY THINK he would have his personal or religious enemies?

Did you ever see an enemy of Mother Teresa?
Did you ever see an enemy of any Christian Monk?

Never, right? Then are you telling me that Mother Teresa and Christian Monks are superior than Jesus Christ?

Freedomm, I’m beginning to think you know very few quotes from the Bible and that’s why you repeat the few that you do know dozens of times and are still no closer to understanding them.

People disliked Jesus BECAUSE HE CLAIMED TO BE GOD! He wasn’t tried and killed for being mean and calling people names, he was killed for blasphemy.

Besides which, God is just and all-powerful as well as compassionate - doesn’t your Allah permit floods and plagues and death and disease to show his power as well as preserve people from them to show his compassion? Jesus was GOD - he is the same, both powerful and compassionate.

PAX

Does a Father not teach his children with Authority. If the children failed to listen does he not use more force full language or emotion. How is that not Love & Compassion to make sure your children Learn the ways of God.

What does the expression:“Woe unto you…”, really mean?
Its generally a warning about us acting in a way that is dishonouring God, that no good will come of it.

From the Greek Lexicon the Greek word used for woe is a term of GRIEF, Jesus is saying something to the effect of: “I really feel sorry for you” like something bad is going to happen to you as a result…

Freedomm, how many times do we have to answer this! Jesus called the Pharisees all those things because he knew what was in their hearts. They appeared religious on the surface, but were actually nothing of the kind! They were complete hypocrites. They wanted people’s adulation, they wanted everyone to see how “pious” they were. Jesus called them “whited sepulchres”, they appeared pure on the surface, but were completely rotten on the inside! He knew their innermost thoughts because he is God! That is why he also said that nothing that goes into a man is impure, (he declared all foods clean,) but only that which comes out of a man!

You have to take the times into consideration. The Jews at the time were expecting an earthly Messiah to redeem them from the Romans, not the Son of God. And He saw in these Jews their hardened hearts. It would have been easy to not offend the liars and hypocrites but he saw them for what there were and confronted them. Rather than mending their ways the Pharasees, Saduccees and scribes chose to challenge Christ. They were blinded by their pride. Thus causing great hate for Christ.

Jesus who is God is Love.

Ohhh my, poor Mother had many enemies. Even in death she still has her enemies.
She was not well received by advocates of birth control and often criticized by the left.
Here is an example of the venom that Mother faced and still does in death.

As for monks, who in particular are you referring to? Any names? Your statement is too broad. As far as the monks, friars and brothers that appear on EWTN, they often tell of being mocked and ridiculed when they travel about wearing their robes. Sometimes people spit at them.

There are some Friars that live near me. They also speak of getting mocked when they travel.

And Fr. Corapi…he tells of many travels where he is ill treated.

I think you are uninformed.

As a pious and humble woman, Mother probably would be deeply saddened to hear this statement suggesting she was superior to Christ.

9 And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. 21 But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.
