Hi,
I’m new here, so please forgive me if I put this question in the wrong place or something.🙂
I had received Confirmation 2 years ago. We had to write two saint reports for our Confirmation, one on our saint for Confirmation and one on our Parish Saint.
Of course we were not allowed to plagiarize. For the saint report on our Parish, I just took an article I found and turned all of the sentences from passive to active tense or from active to passive. If you don’t know what I mean, I took a sentence like, “The boy chased the dog” and turned it into “The dog was chased by the boy.” Now I’m really scrupulous and don’t know if my Confirmation was valid because of that. I don’t think I intended to sin or anything like that because I was really scrupulous at that time too.
Please help me. I have been pondering on this for ages.😦

Thanks,

Yes, your confirmation was valid.

Its validity does not depend on the quality of the essay you wrote in preparation for reception of the sacrament. 😉

Happy Easter!

You know, you can go to Confession when you are worried about something like this and just confess it. The more you go to Confession, the more the priest can help you with your scrupulosity or tendencies thereto.

I thank both of you so much. For years, I had been carrying that burden.

Your confirmation is valid. Confirmation names are not even required, let alone a report about your Parish Saint.

If it still bothers you, go to confession, confess and receive absolution

God Bless
