Was my ignorance sinful?

I am a fairly new Catholic and I understand and 100% agree with the Church’s view on moral issues such as abortion and contraception. However, I did not know until recently that the Church holds that abortion should be illegal in countries. While I accept this 100%, I did not know about it before. If this qualifies as ignorance, would this kind of ignorance be considered sinful? Thank you.

You were not deliberately ignorant, So there can be no sin. To sin, one must deliberately choose to sin.
