Was my mass attendance valid?

I had to leave mass today (Sunday) due to a severe coughing fit. I felt that I couldn’t stay and disturb and possibly contaminate the congregation. My departure occurred as the Profession of Faith began. I subsequently went to a medical facility and received an Rx.
 
When we are too sick to attend Mass or our presence poses a health danger to others we are dispensed from our Sunday Mass obligation (Catechism 2181).
