A friend of mine says that Peter was probably never even in Rome and therefore could not be the first Pope. He says history shows that where Christ delivered the words “you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church” (according to Verse 13 Caesarea Philippi) there was a huge rock over His head which reinforced His message that he was building the Church on a giant rock --Himself. How can I respond?
