Yes there are two versions scholars know of. A fragment of a Koine Greek original and an Ethiopic more full version. Although the two have some differences they do have the same verses in different areas. Although the original form is not certain most scholars believe the Ethiopic version is the closest to the original form of the text. It was likely written around 135. However many believe 2 Peter wasn’t written until that time. In fact some believe because of the similarities in the end of times rebuke in 2 Peter it is possible it was written by the same author but this will most likely never be known. The Apocalypse of Peter inspired the future Apocalypse of Paul and definitely you can see comparisons in Dantes Inferno. I believe personally the Apocalypse of Peter was much more influential in early Christianity than most acknowledge. Like many of our views of heaven and hell come straight from this text.
