Do you think that the Koran was inspired by God himself at all or was it completely man made and 100% from Mohammad‘s (false) teachings? If it was inspired by God, then how much of it?

The Koran is completely man made. The Pope says the main thing we can learn from Muslims is the practice of all bowing before God 5 times a day.

The Koran, like the Book of Mormon is a man-made imitation of scripture, created by Satan to cast doubt on the bible. Both of these false “scriptures” say that the bible is hopelessly corrupted and untrustworthy.

Any book that says the bible is not the inerrant word of God is from the devil.

Paul

Actually the practice of bowing and praying 5 times a day is rip off of Eastern Christianity worship in the first millinium Eastern Catholics had this practice for centuries before Islam conveneintly ripped off an already existing custom. So yeah its admirable in the way we can reflect on our worship origins that we have forgotten. The Koran’s truths are already contained in the Holy Bible its untruths are often a watering down of the full truth of the gospel. The common teachings it has with the Bible is a sense are true but any instance where they differ are considered heretical.

I don’t know much about the koran itself but I do know that those reading it have become rather fanatical against non muslims to the point of strapping a bomb on to them selves and blowing themselves up.along with the “enemy”. hate is not from God . God is Love.

i find the muslim custom of praying 5 times per day very inspiring and refreshing. (i’m not saying this in argument with anyone). yesterday i was walking down a back hallway at the mall (i work in the mall for one of my jobs) and i saw a man with his little carpet in the back hallway by the trashcan, kneeling and praying to God. He was obviously a bit embarassed to be doing this where people could see him (though only mall employees). i found his sincerity and faithfulness to his beliefs, in the midst of a culture that opposed both his beliefs and his culture, very inspiring.

i said a little prayer for him, that in his sincerity and faithfulness to praying to God, that he might find God in fulness of truth.

let us all pray for our muslim brothers, that Allah might bring them into the fullness of His truth, into Jesus.

It’s a false dichotomy. The Koran is a human book–as Christians we don’t believe it is divinely inspired as Scripture is. But that doesn’t make it 100% false. It would be hard to find a book that was 100% false, and the Koran has a lot more truth than most. Since all truth is from God, the Koran is of divine origin insofar as it contains truth. But it is not divinely inspired in the particular sense that Scripture is.

As for the notion that “the people who read the Koran” blow non-Muslims up, that’s a real misuse of language. Of the millions and millions of devout Muslims in the world, only a tiny minority interpret it in this way. Surely that is obvious?

Satan will tell a hundred truths to get us to believe one lie.

Paul

How can Satan tell any truths at all? All truth comes from God. Period. Full stop. End of discussion.

Edwin

The Koran is inspired by God in the same way that a forger of the Mona Lisa is inspired by Leonardo De Vinci.

Praying 5 times a day -non sense youre suppose to pray with out ceasing. The Koran was inspired by Satan , the angel Muhhamed saw was Lucifer . The guy was a pedophile… And on the day of Judgement he will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…

Satan quoted Scripture when he tempted Jesus in the desert. The Scripture he quoted must obviously be true. The lie was that he was trying to play it off as the governing Scripture.

So, in that regard, is it inspired?

The best lies contain partial truths to add to the deception.

Scott Waddell,

Satan twisted truth. He didn’t create it. I’m not disputing that Satan has used the Koran–but so has God.

Shibboleth,

Again, of course Satan can twist truth. But the truth still comes from God. Truth is truth. This business about “partial truths” is an excuse for bigotry, accepting nothing that isn’t 100% pure. Which is sheer madness in the world we live in. Things aren’t “black and white.” We should rejoice in goodness and truth wherever we find it, without the slightest objection or hesitation or cavil, without coming up with seemingly sophisticated reasons for throwing out what is not Wholly Approved. Ultimately, the sure way to play into Satan’s hands is to set up truth against truth–that’s the one thing Satan most desires.

Not inspired by God at all. I hold to the possibility that an angel of deception may have influenced him.

Only to the extent that Mohammed “borrowed” from Judaism and Christianity. The Koran, like the *Book of Mormon, *is a fraud inspired by Satan, if anyone. Both Mohammed and Joseph Smith were basically charlatans and debauchers who cobbled together different man-made religions to comport with their own views of the world, irresopective of the truth.

Slow down, Edwin. Discern the spirits. Satan will tell truths and then infuse lies on it to “misled” ignorant souls. That’s the sole purpose of his tricks. He is intelligent enough, don’t you know? He will not outrightly tell lies because he will be detected. He’s really intelligent. Get it? It’s also a battle of brains as well.

God bless.

Pio

No, it is not a battle of brains. Entering into a battle of brains with Satan is incredibly dumb. Sorry for being blunt, but I’ve seen the immense damage this kind of thinking can do. We can’t outsmart Satan. The only way to defeat him is sheer simplicity, recognizing goodness and rejecting evil wherever we see it. Anything else leads to madness and corruption.

In Christ,

Edwin
