This is a misapplication of Luke 22:7. There are two facts: (1) the day in question is the same day on which the Passover was slaughtered, and (2) the day is already present. The Passover mentioned here can not be Jesus because Jesus was not killed until the following day. The only coherent reading is that this is the day in which the Passover lamb was sacrificed in the Temple.I believe that the synoptics imply that Christ is His own Passover meal.
Luke- “Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.”
Christ IS the Passover lamb. And St John states that Christ is the Lamb crucified at the same time that the lambs are slaughtered on the day before Passover to signify that He is the new Passover!
