So was He spirit at first? This feels like a weird question that I should know the answer too, but here goes I guess.

Would you mind clarifying this a bit? The Second Person of the Holy Trinity, the Son of God, when incarnate, was not Spirit, but also flesh. That’s what incarnate means. Your wording is not terribly clear here, and we must be careful with regards to Christology and fundamental doctrines of the nature of God, lest we fall into heresy. The Word Seconf person of the Holy Trinity incarnate God (Holy Trinity )is Spirit

Hello Fr ACEGC,The Son of God, the second person of the Holy Trinity, existed from before all ages, eternally. But the Incarnation of the Son of God in the flesh happened at a particular point in time. So the Son always existed, but did not take on human nature and a human body until that point.
