Our curate, whose first language is not English, inadvertently omitted “…and gave you thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said:” from Eucharistic prayer II today. Was the consecration valid?

Yes, it was a valid consecration. The words he did not say are not essential for validity.
