Looks like a beautiful day. No rain. Breezy the flags are blowing around. I see our President Bush & wife, Bush Sr. , Rice & Clinton being seated.

Looks like our President Bush is suffering the usual pre-mass social interruptions.

I haven’t slept at all due to a upper respiratory infection, so I am watching and just saw GW and Laura (wearing a veil, I might add) being seated. As I have being watching the aerial views of the St Peter’s Square, I couldn’t help but notice how it looks like a key lying flat on the ground. The oval wall being the top of the key, the angle sides are the top and bottom of the key and where the Basilica is, that the wavy part of the key. Does anyone else see this or is this just lack of sleep.

Does look key like. Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather.

I am sure the report’s comments will be annoying to some degree during mass

Is that applause I hear as the Pope’s casket is carried out?

The Italians like to applaud at emotional times, apparently. They just said it on the BBC coverage of the funeral.

Thanks. The worse part is not being able to sleep

I became quite emotional during the funeral. Especially when Cardinal Ratzinger called JP2 a simply priest. Then when the crowd started to chant “Saint Immediately” and “John Paul the Great!”
