Water fountian in front of Altar

grandson was baptized in a church like this, and yes, several of us had to leave Mass at various times. we still chuckle about it. I am still not clear exactly what OP saw at his church because I can’t see how Easter flowers could be tall enough to eclipse the altar, and I am not sure if he is talking about the baptismal pool for the Easter vigil, or just something used as a decoration (or for “environment” as the church ladies like to say). I just can’t visualize what was going on in his church from his description.
 
THose silly people in ROme put a 15 foot deep hole RIGHT in front of their altar and they have FLOWERS in front of their altar.

How tacky! How gauche! Let’s write to the bishop of that diocese, and then if that doesn’t work, we’ll write to Cardinal Arinze. Surely he’ll take care of it.
 
Not sure if I am being made fun of or not, but I assure you that I only wanted your (name removed by moderator)ut not your laughs. Puzzelannie the flowers were Easter lilies and that were on top of something that raised them all the way up over the altar by about maybe a foot the plug in electric fountian was on a podium in front of the flowers. I am not against decorating the altar I just thought that we were suppose to take away from the altar. I happen to love when a chucrh is adorned with flowers my concern here is that we are getting away with the correct way of decorating and this is were liturgical abuses start. So that is what my concern was and is. As for the others I really don’t appreciate your comments, if you can’t say something nice or constructive maybe you should say anything.
